Dream FAQs

What are my dreams telling me?

As I've traveled the country the past couple of years promoting my "I had the Strangest Dream" book, I've been surprised that regardless of whether a person is from New York, NY or Columbus, Ohio, people ask me the same eight questions over and over again...here are the answers to the most frequently asked dream questions...I hope you find this helpful:

1.) What are the benefits of understanding my dreams?

Besides helping you to improve your relationships, health, wealth, sex life, and peace of mind, understanding your dreams can give you…
a. The answers to your problems.
b. Information about how to release unhealthy baggage from the past.
c. Awareness about how to more powerfully engage in relationships.
d. Preparation for opportunities that will make you more magnetic to the people, places, and things that will improve your life.
e. An “aha” moment that could turn your confusion into fusion that could change your whole life.

2.) What does it mean if I am happily married but I continue to have “sex dreams” about the girl next-door?

Sex dreams are a very natural way to blow off steam and let our inner caveman or cavewoman go wild, so that you can awaken in the morning as the balanced, civilized, upstanding citizen that you are. Often people feel ashamed of their sex dreams, because their unedited, XXX way of being in their dreams can sometimes be vastly different than their proper, politically correct self-definition. As it is with most of our dreams, they are seldom translated literally. Perhaps you might consider sex as a metaphor for “joining”, "connecting”, “integrating”, or “embracing” the qualities that you ascribe to the “girl next-door”.

3.) What does it mean if a person does not remember their dreams?

Not remembering your dreams simply means that you haven’t placed a value on remembering them before you get out of bed in the morning. Even for people that are very good at remembering their dreams, if they rush out of bed too quickly before reviewing their dreams in their mind’s eye, then the drawbridge connecting the “Land of Nod” and the “real world” is lost, and so is the memory of the dreams.

4.) What is the best way for someone to remember their dreams?

The first step to receiving the gifts of your dreams is to:
a. Replay your dreams in your mind’s eye before getting out of bed.
b. Write them down in a dream journal or record them into a tape recorder.
c. Share your dream with a dream buddy, partner, or spouse immediately as you wake.
Once you’ve done this, see my *6-Step Dream Interpretation Formula for instructions on what to do next (you receive it for FREE when you sign up to become a member of the DREAM TEAM).

5.) What does it mean to dream about teeth falling out?

Because teeth are located in the mouth, any dream about teeth has a great deal to do with issues of communication and your ability to process, or “chew on”, the data that you have acquired throughout the day. If you dream of losing your teeth, then you are venting your feelings of insecurity, powerlessness, financial stress, or your feelings about the loss or death of a family member. Or, this could be a sign to clean up a communication that went awry.

6.) What does it mean to dream of flying?

Dreams of flying represent freedom, joy, expression, feeling light, confident, creative, independent, and that you are aware of a higher perspective. You are free from physical constraints or limitations as you connect with your true spiritual essence and access your true potential.

7.) What does it mean to dream of falling?

Dreams of falling symbolize a feeling of loss of control, a lack of confidence, and that you are loosing your step as a result of not having your feet firmly planted on the earth. This dream can symbolize that you are overwhelmed with the events in your life.

8.) What does it mean when a person dreams of 21st Century Symbols?

Many of the popular devices we dream about today, like blackberries, cell phones, blogging, pod casts, etc… are about communication and a desire to connect. So, for example if you dream of being on your cell phone, then this dream can denote a desire to connect with someone over a distance, or it can be about telepathy.
